Some very good friends of mine are having a Haiti Relief event to help the earthquake victims in Haiti  prepare for the raining season.  If you’re in NYC this Wednesday 3/31 please come by and support.  You will not be disappointed with the products that will be up for sale. Proceeds are going to the Haiti Relief Center (HRC).

In celebration of International Women’s Month, Evenagamba and Joan Horning Jewelry invite you to an evening at Inventory on March 31st with proceeds going to the Haiti Relief Center (HRC).

With the rainy season fast approaching, we have have teamed up with the HRC to acquire supplies and tents to shelter Haitian women in need. Several hundreds of thousands of people have no shelter and many women are sent out into the streets immediately after giving birth. We can change this! You can too.

Founders of HRC, David Klefeker and Kettie Jean, were in Haiti this month providing supplies collected in New York to isolated rural areas of St-Marc, Gonaive and Jacmel. The HRC, a volunteer initiative, was created in order to provide relief to victims of the earthquake which struck Haiti in January.

Kettie Jean was born in Haiti and has been active in different organizations serving her country for the last decade. She has also gained experience working with the Clinton Foundation and the Canadian International Development Agency and is a Master of International Affairs Candidate in Economic and Political Development at the School of International and Public Affairs at Columbia University.

A range of items (clothing, art, jewelry) will be available for purchase and 100% of the profits will go directly to the HRC. Examples of what will be available are attached.

HRC delivers the most important supplies directly to isolated rural populations of Haiti that have received little to no help. With your support, critical supplies will be delivered to those most in need. The earthquake has passed, but everyday help is still needed. We want to take an active role in helping the women of Haiti. Please join us for an evening of celebration for a good cause.
